Lewis & Harris

Lewis and his baby brother Harris share a deeply affectionate and meaningful sibling bond that shines through every interaction they have together.

Although they are currently living in separate foster homes, their connection has remained strong, loving, and full of joy. When they meet, Lewis’s face lights up instantly as he gently steps into his role as big brother, offering warmth, reassurance, and playful attention. Harris responds with calm familiarity, settling easily in Lewis’s presence. Together, they show the promise of a beautiful lifelong sibling relationship that would flourish within a nurturing, permanent family.

Lewis aged 4, is a bright, imaginative little boy with a kind heart and an expressive personality. Harris who is under 1, is calm, gentle, and observant, taking the world in with quiet curiosity. Together, they bring a wonderful balance of energy and calm, creativity and closeness.

A day in their world
Lewis’s day is shaped by predictable routines that help him feel safe, confident, and ready to engage with the world. He enjoys mornings that follow a familiar rhythm, getting ready with gentle encouragement and heading out with enthusiasm. At school, Lewis is polite, friendly, and eager to join in, particularly with creative, hands-on activities. He manages transitions well and likes knowing what comes next.

After school, Lewis loves sharing stories from his day, often re-creating events through imaginative play. Evenings are calm and cosy, with family mealtimes, bath time, and bedtime stories offering comfort and connection. A small, meaningful bedtime ritual helps Lewis feel emotionally settled and close to Harris, even when they are apart.

Harris’s days are calm, nurturing, and carefully paced around his needs. His routine includes feeding, playing, rest, and gentle interaction with trusted adults. Awake times are filled with quiet exploration, sensory play, music, and cuddles, while naps and bedtime are peaceful and well-settled.

What they enjoy the most

Lewis loves imaginative play, storytelling, performing, and anything that allows him to express himself creatively. He enjoys outdoor play, splashing in puddles, exploring nature, and playing with vehicles and building toys. Shared play is especially important to him; he thrives when others join in his ideas and celebrate his creativity.

Harris delights in music, water play, sensory toys, and gentle movement. He particularly enjoys swimming, action songs, cuddly connection, and watching the world around him from the safety of a trusted adult’s arms.

What will help these siblings thrive?

Both boys need adopters who can offer emotional warmth, patience, and consistent routines. Lewis benefits from clear structure, positive reassurance, and opportunities to feel helpful, involved, and valued. Calm, attuned parenting helps him feel secure and confident as he continues to grow.

Harris thrives with responsive care, predictable rhythms, and plenty of close, nurturing interaction. As he develops, ongoing stability and emotionally available caregiving will support his continued healthy growth and attachment.

These boys clearly enjoy being together. Their shared smiles, gentle interactions, and natural closeness highlight the joy they bring out in one another. Maintaining their sibling relationship is essential. Being placed together would allow their bond to deepen naturally and give both boys a shared sense of belonging and identity.

Who could be right for these lovely brothers?
Lewis and Harris would suit adopters who value connection, routine, and gentle guidance. A family who enjoys creativity, play, music, and outdoor activities would be a wonderful match. Experience of therapeutic or attachment-aware parenting would be helpful, but most important is a warm, patient, and loving approach.

If you choose to adopt Lewis and Harris, you will be fully supported by Family Adoption Links Leicestershire. Ongoing support, training, and guidance will be provided to help you understand the boys’ needs and ensure a smooth transition into your family. The adoption team is committed to working with you every step of the way.

Could you be Lewis and Harris’s forever family?

Lewis and Harris have so much love to give. They will bring laughter, imagination, tenderness, and deep connection into the right family. By offering them a forever home together, adopters would not only be giving them security and stability but also gaining two truly special children whose bond and personalities have the power to fill a home with joy.

If you feel you could offer Lewis and Harris the loving future they deserve, we’d love to hear from you.
