Suki (0)

Suki is a beautiful baby girl with a gentle, expressive nature. She is a sensitive little soul who communicates clearly when she needs comfort or support. Her foster carer describes her as a baby who thrives on closeness, calm and consistency.

Suki is at her happiest in the mornings. She often wakes with a smile and appears most settled at the start of the day. She loves being held close, and this physical comfort helps her feel safe and relaxed. While she finds busy or noisy environments a little overwhelming, she responds wonderfully to calm, nurturing care and a predictable routine.

Suki has some complex health needs that are being explored by professionals. She sometimes appears to be in discomfort and relies on gentle, attentive care to help soothe her. She currently feeds five times a day with a high-energy formula recommended by health professionals to support her growth and development.

At four months old, Suki is still developing many of her early skills. She needs close physical support and benefits from being positioned safely and comfortably throughout the day. Her foster carer describes her as a baby who finds peace in soft cuddles and quiet moments. Although she lives in a busy home with children and dogs, she seems to prefer calm spaces where she can relax and feel secure.

Suki may have some sensory processing difficulties, which professionals are continuing to explore. She has shown that she can find sensory activities or movement challenging, but she feels reassured when she is held securely and spoken to softly. With patient, loving care, she is beginning to show signs of trust and comfort in her daily routine.

A day in Suki’s life

Suki usually settles to sleep around half past eight in the evening. She wakes for a feed around three o’clock in the morning and then sleeps again until early morning. Her favourite time of day is when she wakes and greets her carer with a sleepy smile. She enjoys short, calm periods in her bouncer where she can observe her surroundings in a relaxed way.

Her routine helps her feel safe and supported, and she benefits from carers who can follow it closely while working alongside health professionals to meet her ongoing needs.

Suki’s personality

Even though Suki is still very young, her personality is already shining through. She has clear likes and dislikes. She enjoys being held and cuddled tightly, and she lets her carers know when she wants to be close. She is less comfortable with car journeys or lots of movement, preferring quiet, gentle environments instead. Her carer describes her as a baby who is happiest when she feels secure and loved.

What Suki needs

Suki needs adoptive parents who can offer her a calm, nurturing home where she can grow at her own pace. She will thrive with carers who are patient, consistent, and emotionally attuned to her needs. It will be important for her family to work closely with health professionals to support her ongoing development and any medical needs that arise.

She would be best suited to a quiet environment where she can feel safe and where her carers can provide the close, comforting care she seeks. Above all, Suki needs a family who can celebrate her progress, no matter how small, and offer her the unconditional love and stability she deserves.

From Suki’s perspective

I feel safest when I am held close and comforted. I like quiet spaces and gentle voices. I feel happiest in the morning when I wake up and see a friendly face smiling at me. I am still learning about the world, and I need a family who will be patient and kind while I grow and discover new things.
