Together, Sophie and Mia bring double the joy, double the giggles and double the love.
Sophie is a little spark of sunshine with a personality as bright as her smile. She has expressive features – from her cheeky giggles to her determined pout, you can always tell how she’s feeling.
She loves to be active and is thriving physically, enjoying outdoor play, books, playdough and imaginative games. At playgroup, she lights up when joining in with songs and social activities, and she’s happiest when she feels included and valued.
Sophie is curious, affectionate and confident once she feels secure. She has a strong sense of identity and is especially close with her younger sister, Mia. While she is experiencing some speech and language delays, her understanding is excellent and she communicates well through gestures, expressions and words she knows. With consistent support at nursery and from her carers, Sophie is making great progress.
Like many children her age, Sophie sometimes finds it hard when boundaries are set, but with guidance and reassurance, she is learning to manage her emotions. Her resilience, warmth and playful nature make her an absolute joy to be around.
Her little sister Mia is gentle, curious and full of promise. She is sociable and affectionate, reaching out for cuddles, chatting away and responding with giggles and gestures to those she trusts. Mia thrives on routine and is developing beautifully, exploring with growing independence.
Since coming into foster care, Mia has gained weight and now enjoys a wide variety of foods (with strawberries being a firm favourite!). She has grown in confidence and now seeks comfort from her carers with ease – a lovely sign of the secure attachments she is building.
Mia shares a strong bond with her big sister Sophie, looking to her for comfort and fun. Together, they bring out the best in one another.
