Matilda (4)

Meet Matilda

If you’re looking for a little girl who can fill your home with laughter, music, and sparkle – meet Matilda, a bright and bubbly four-year-old with a big heart and an even bigger imagination.

Matilda is full of life. She’s fun, energetic, caring, inquisitive, and just the right amount of sassy to keep everyone smiling. She adores princesses and unicorns, and her favourite princesses are Ariel and Elsa – she can often be found belting out ‘Let It Go’ while twirling in her favourite dress-up clothes.

A day in Matilda’s world

Matilda is thriving in her first year of primary school, where she proudly wears her uniform and enjoys playing with friends at playtime. She loves her school routine and likes to know what’s happening next – this helps her feel safe and confident to shine.

Her mornings start with a big smile (and a sausage roll if she’s lucky!) before heading off to school. She can dress herself and takes pride in doing so, though she appreciates a little help with her hair — she loves wearing pigtails and pretty bows.

After school, Matilda enjoys spending time outdoors – no matter the weather! Whether she’s at the park, playing on the swings or helping in the garden, she’s happiest when she’s outside. Weekends are for adventures with her foster carers, like her recent visit to Tropical Birdland, where she bravely held parrots and loved every moment.

Bedtime comes around 7pm, and after a busy day of fun, she sleeps soundly through the night.

All About Matilda

Matilda is a happy, affectionate little girl who loves cuddles and one-to-one time with her carers. She lights up any room with her infectious giggle, her love of singing and dancing, and her joyful energy.

Her favourite activities include:

  • Dressing up and acting out Frozen or Beauty and the Beast
  • Playing with her baby dolls or toy kitchen
  • Listening to her Tonie box
  • Visiting the zoo or Birdland to see penguins and parrots
  • Spending time with her big brother, Teddy, whom she adores

Seeing her big brother Teddy is one of the highlights of her week – they share a lovely bond, always greeting each other with a big hug before running off to play together.

The family we’re weeking

Matilda will thrive with loving, patient, and nurturing adopters who can offer her the consistency and reassurance she needs as she continues to grow and understand her story.

She would do well in a home where she can enjoy plenty of time and attention – either as the only child or with children who can share in her playful, imaginative world.

It’s really important to Matilda that she continues to have direct, face-to-face contact with her brother Teddy, so we are looking for adopters who can support and value this connection.

She would also like to stay in touch with her foster carers, who have been an important part of her journey so far.

Adopters for Matilda will be fully supported by Family Adoption Links Leicestershire. We offer:

In summary

Matilda is a bright, loving, and lively little girl who’s ready to bring her warmth, curiosity, and sparkle into a forever family. She’ll thrive with adopters who can offer patience, playfulness, routine, and love, and who will celebrate her beautiful personality and help her feel safe, secure, and cherished.
