Could you adopt sweet little Luca? A gentle, affectionate little boy with the biggest heart.

Luca shows his affection in the most endearing ways — by gently touching the faces and ears of those he loves and giving the best cuddles. His carers describe his warmth and affection as one of his most lovely qualities. Snuggling with Luca brings him comfort, happiness and a deep sense of connection.

He enjoys life at his own pace, whether that’s a long walk outdoors (sometimes up to an hour and a half!), a playful swing at the park or the simple happiness of bath time bubbles. He especially loves the round swing, where his giggles are truly infectious.

Luca has a calm and content presence, and he is happiest when he’s close to the people he loves. He is also beginning to explore new foods, though his firm favourites remain crackers, corn snacks, and brioche rolls. Car rides make him laugh and he loves listening to music on his Tonie box or winding down with his favourite TV programme.

A day in Luca’s life

• Morning: Starts with a bubbly bath and a yummy breakfast before heading off to nursery
• Daytime: At nursery, Luca enjoys 1:1 time with staff and opportunities to play and learn at his own pace
• Afternoon: He loves lunch and snacks before relaxing at home with toys or a little walk
• Evening: Another splashy bath before bedtime, where he settles contentedly

What Luca needs

Luca has some developmental delays and ongoing health needs, so he will need patient, therapeutic parenting and continued support to help him thrive. He communicates affection through gestures rather than words and with the right love and encouragement, his ability to express himself will grow.
