Jackson (1)

Say hello to Jackson—a bright, bubbly, and adventurous little boy.  Jackson is full of smiles and charm, and he lights up every room he’s in. Whether he’s splashing in the bath, dancing to nursery rhymes, or socialising with other little ones at baby groups, Jackson brings joy to everyone he meets.

From the moment he wakes up, Jackson is ready to take on the day. He’s most active in the mornings and after naps, always eager to be on his feet and exploring. He’s already cruising around furniture, climbing stairs, and meeting all his developmental milestones—proof that he may be little, but he’s mighty!

A day in Jackson’s world

Jackson thrives in a loving, consistent routine. His day starts around 7am with cuddles, a little playtime, and a bottle of his high-energy SMA milk. Breakfast might be porridge, pancakes (his favourite!) or yoghurt before heading out for one of his daily adventures.

Each day, Jackson enjoys a different baby activity, from music groups and baby sign classes to soft play and story time. He especially loves singing, books with flaps and anything with a jingle – Twinkle Twinkle (the sleepy version) is a big hit.

He naps once or twice a day, depending on the activity level, and eats three small but varied meals with snacks in between. Though he’s a grazer with a petite appetite, Jackson tries everything and prefers soft, easy-to-eat foods. Mealtimes are shared with his foster family, where he enjoys sitting in his highchair and being part of the group.

Evenings are relaxed with bath time (where he happily splashes and plays), baby massage, and bedtime cuddles. He sleeps through the night, soothed by his night light and projector, snuggled in his cosy sleeping bag with legs—just the way he likes it!

Jackson’s favourite things

  • Swimming (he loves his underwater baby class)
  • Music and nursery rhymes
  • Books with flaps and sensory play
  • Soft play and outdoor adventures
  • Being around people – he’s super sociable and loves to wave, smile, and interact with others
  • Exploring independently while checking in to make sure you’re still nearby

Jackson enjoys a full calendar of activities and thrives when given the space and encouragement to explore. His foster carers describe him as laidback, content, and very sociable, saying, “He’s the happiest baby we’ve ever cared for.”

What Jackson needs from his forever family

Jackson has been with his loving foster carers since he was four days old. They’ve given him stability, a secure bond, and the foundation to thrive. Now, Jackson is ready to take the next step—and he needs adopters who can offer:

  • A warm, nurturing home filled with love and patience
  • Lots of opportunities to play, explore, and socialise
  • An open mind to the uncertainties around his health and development
  • A commitment to support him emotionally, educationally, and medically as needed
  • Confidence in talking about his life story and supporting his identity as he grows

Jackson was born prematurely and was exposed to alcohol and cannabis during pregnancy. While he is currently meeting all his milestones and is developing well, he may face challenges in the future. There are no current medical concerns, but adopters will need to be comfortable advocating for Jackson and open to working with professionals if needed. He has an open appointment with a dietitian due to his petite frame, but no active concerns.

Adopters should also be prepared for a gentle, supported transition, as Jackson will experience loss when moving from his foster home. His bond with his carers is strong and secure, so it’s essential that his new family can provide reassurance and consistency as he adjusts.

Why Jackson?

Jackson is a joyful, affectionate, and resilient little boy who brings laughter and warmth to everyone he meets. If you can offer Jackson the love, care, and stability he deserves, we’d love to speak to you.

At Family Adoption Links Leicestershire, you’ll also receive support from our Life Story Worker, helping you confidently share Jackson’s journey with him as he grows up.

Are you ready to meet this wonderful little explorer and walk alongside him on his next adventure? Please get in touch for more details.

Please note that whilst this image is representative of Jackson, it is a stock shot and his name has been changed to protect his identity.
