Freya (6 months)

From the moment you meet her, Freya’s calm and gentle nature shines through. As a happy, placid and content baby, Freya is a delight to be around.

Freya adores cuddles and is starting to show her unique personality more and more each day. With her sweet, shy smile and eye contact, she’s especially curious about the world around her. A thoughtful little observer, she loves watching people and faces, quietly taking it all in.

A day in Freya’s world

Freya thrives with a calm, consistent routine that helps her feel secure. She wakes bright and early between 6 and 7am, ready for her morning bottle and the day ahead. After getting dressed, she enjoys some peaceful time on her mat, watching the colours of her mobile and toys.

She has a lovely rhythm to her day with regular feeds, naps and plenty of gentle interaction. One of her favourite times is afternoon walks in her pram, especially when she can see the sky and trees. She’s fascinated by nature and enjoys the sights of clouds drifting by.

In the evenings, Freya is especially peaceful. Her nightly routine includes a bath—her absolute favourite—followed by a relaxing baby massage and snuggles as she winds down. She’s usually asleep by 10pm and sleeps soundly through the night.

Things that make Freya smile

  • Bath time – she lights up in the water and can’t wait to go swimming soon
  • Baby singing group – a weekly highlight where she enjoys songs like Row, Row, Row Your Boat.
  • Social time – she happily joins her foster carer at coffee mornings and enjoys being in busy, chatty environments.
  • Her soft toy – a comforting companion in her cot.
  • Flashing musical toys – she loves anything that lights up and plays sounds!

Freya’s journey so far

Freya has shown incredible resilience. Placed in foster care at just a few days old due to concerns around neglect and risk of harm, she has been lovingly cared for and is now growing stronger and thriving in a safe, stable environment. Born three weeks early, she had some early challenges with weight gain, but thanks to loving care, she is now feeding well and gaining steadily.

Freya is under regular observation to monitor her development, she is making good progress—babbling, responding to voices, and showing strong attachment to her carer. She’s up to date with immunisations, registered with a GP, and her health visitor is pleased with how she’s doing.

Could you be the family Freya needs?

Freya is ready to find a forever family who will cherish her, nurture her potential, and give her the love and security she deserves. In return, she offers endless cuddles and the chance to watch her grow into the beautiful little girl she’s becoming.
