Ethan the Explorer
Ethan is a bright and inquisitive little boy who loves figuring out how things work and testing them out for himself. He’s a thinker, a doer and a little adventurer who thrives on exploring new places.
He’s brilliantly determined and has a strong will so he sometimes needs a little extra time to move from one activity to the next, but with patience and reassurance, he transitions well. He enjoys songs, games and imaginative play often preferring to play solo. Ethan finds comfort in warm, physical reassurance like a back rub before bed.
Ethan is at his happiest when he’s outdoors – running, climbing, jumping or playing at the park. He loves the beach, building sandcastles and splashing in the sea. Creative at heart, he also enjoys messy play, arts and crafts and bouncing on the trampoline. His current favourites include Peppa Pig, animal documentaries and exploring the wonders of nature.
He’s a good eater (especially on Fish Fridays!) and while he is delayed in his speech and development, his new education plan will provide the specialist support he needs to thrive at school. Health professionals have considered the possibility of ASD, though there is no formal diagnosis at present. What’s certain is that Ethan is affectionate with trusted adults, loves deeply and is making great progress in his foster home.
Betty the little ray of sunshine
Betty is a bright, bubbly and affectionate little girl with sparkling blue eyes and an infectious giggle. She’s curious about the world, loves asking questions and enjoys engaging conversations often using full sentences already! Animated and expressive, she has a wonderful knack for making those around her laugh, especially when she cheekily declares, “No, it’s not!” or “That’s mine!” with a grin.
Betty thrives on attention and affection, giving the warmest cuddles once she knows and trusts you. She is a happy and inquisitive soul who loves songs (especially ones with actions), games, and being outdoors. Whether she’s climbing, zooming down a slide, or swinging high at the park, she throws herself into every activity.
Her favourite things include Peppa Pig, unicorns, and her treasured toy sausage dog. She adores animals, especially the family cat and is good with dogs too. Food-wise, she’s not fussy, loving pasta, chicken, and tomato and cheese sauce, and she’s getting better at sitting for mealtimes rather than snacking.
Developmentally, Betty is thriving with no current concerns. She’s content, affectionate, and brings a lively, loving energy to her foster home.
