Isabelle (11 months)

Meet Isabelle

Isabelle is a happy, bubbly and inquisitive little girl with a smile that lights up every room. She loves to greet people, especially other children with her bright grin and enthusiastic energy. From an early age she has loved being active and now she’s a confident crawler who is already trying out her walker and taking little steps toward independence.

Isabelle’s days are full of curiosity, play and laughter. She enjoys her meals (though she usually pulls a funny little face the first time she tries something new) and is particularly fond of mango purée, porridge and spaghetti bolognese. She’s settled into a lovely routine with naps, playtime, baby groups and evening cuddles before bedtime where she soothes herself with her special Minnie Mouse blanket.

Isabelle is very sociable and loves being around other children. She thrives in her baby and toddler groups – one focused on arts and crafts, the other on music and singing. Interactive nursery rhymes are her favourite and she giggles with delight when joining in with “pat-a-cake” or “heads, shoulders, knees and toes.”

Playtime is a big part of Isabelle’s day. She enjoys sensory play, exploring different textures, shapes and lights. Her carer has made her a special sensory hula hoop, which she adores sitting inside while exploring all the colours and materials around her. She also loves going out for walks, taking in the world and offering a beaming smile for everyone she sees.

Although Isabelle had a difficult start, she has blossomed in her foster family’s care. Once unsure about being cuddled, she now thrives on affection. She finds comfort in eye contact, gentle rocking and snuggling close. She is happiest when she feels loved, secure and connected.

Isabelle currently lives with her foster family and a cat—she is very relaxed around pets and enjoys being part of a busy, loving household.

Looking for her forever family
Isabelle would thrive in a family who can match her energy and enthusiasm for life. She will need adopters who can offer her love, security and plenty of opportunities to explore, play and learn. Her foster carers have provided therapeutic parenting since she was a tiny baby, and her new family will be supported to continue this.

Support for you
If you welcome Isabelle into your family, you will be fully supported by Family Adoption Links Leicestershire. This includes:

  • Free training (online and in-person) on therapeutic parenting, talking about adoption and sensory needs.
  • Access to the Adoption Support Fund for future therapeutic services if required.
  • Ongoing guidance from dedicated social workers.
  • Additional school funding and priority access to schools
  • Guidance with life story work, transition support, and help facilitating agreed contact with her birth family.

Isabelle is a bright, affectionate, and engaging baby who is ready to share her joy and curiosity with a forever family. She will thrive with adopters who can offer her love, consistency and a sense of adventure as she continues to discover the world.
