About Us

Us

Who are we? We're a forward thinking regional adoption agency (RAA) made up of the adoption teams from 5 local authorities (Leicester, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and Rutland). Since October 2020, these teams, rated as 'Outstanding' and 'Good' by Ofsted, have worked together to share best practice, develop services and deliver the best possible services to their adopters.

Vision Statement

We’re a dynamic regional partnership aimed at delivering excellence in every aspect of adoption.

As 6 individual Local Authority adoption teams from Leicester, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland, we’re working collaboratively to offer potential adopters a multitude of benefits. This includes…

  • a larger pool of children to ensure the best possible match
  • a comprehensive range of support services to ensure a positive adoption journey
  • the widest pool of professionals who engage in innovative and ground-breaking new adoption practices

The services we provide…

  • We recruit, assess and train people who would like to adopt
  • We match approved adopters with children from within our region and nationally
  • We provide post adoption support, training, events, advice lines and more
  • We assess and process applications for the Adoption Support Fund
  • We support birth parents, siblings and families
  • We facilitate contact between adopted families and birth families

Quite simply, the child and the adopter is at the heart of everything we do and our conscientious team are very proud of the families that we have created and supported over the years.
