Family Adoption Links Leicestershire

Leicestershire Virtual School delivers training to adoptive parents, new dates- for their Online training to adoptive parents will be added soon, keep an eye on their website for details.

Life Story Consultations – Would you like some support in sharing your child’s story? Is there a specific area of your child’s story you are worried to talk to them about? The life story support worker will be holding consultations every other month in 2022 via phone or Microsoft Teams. These consultations are designed to support adoptive parents in having conversations around adoption with your child and to have a go, with support, on answering some of the questions your child may have now and in the future.

Sessions are available on Wednesday 7th February 2022 and Wednesday 6th April 2022. To book, please email michelle.e.smith@leics.gov.uk or your allocated worker in the permanence team. You will be asked to complete a referral form and once returned will be offered the next available slot.
