Join our new sensory group in Lincolnshire
We were delighted to host our first ‘Getting to know you’ adoption activity day on Saturday giving our adopters a unique opportunity to meet children waiting for a family and their foster carers in a warm, friendly and party-like environment.
Carefully selected adopters were invited and enjoyed a half an hour briefing session to ensure that they were fully prepared for the event. The children and their amazing foster carers were next to arrive and were welcomed to enjoy a host of activities including biscuit decorating, designing their own plate and mug, play dough crafting and lots of toys. Whilst they were enjoying themselves, the adopters were able to join in with the activities and really get an insight into their little personalities.
The adopters particularly enjoyed “Seeing a child for who they are instead of a report which doesn’t give you the true picture”
They also enthused that “Friendly organisers made you feel comfortable. Lots of activities for the children which made it a nice day for them.”
