Family Adoption Links are delighted to announce that they are welcoming Northamptonshire Children’s Trust into their partnership.

This exciting development comes just 15 months after the regional adoption agency (RAA) was created and will bring even more benefits for both the children in need of adoption and people who are looking to adopt.

Bringing a large partner like Northamptonshire into the RAA means that there will be an even greater pool of approved adopters and children to match with which is a positive for all involved” commented Head of Family Adoption Links John Harris.

Northamptonshire will be working together with existing partners from local authorities in Lincolnshire, Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and North Lincolnshire to offer excellence across all areas of adoption including recruitment, family finding and support. In 2022, the partnership will be launching a suite of innovative post adoption support training to ensure that their adopters are fully-equipped with the skills necessary for adoptive parenting.

This dynamic partnership has already achieved so much in a relatively short time, we’re really looking forward to joining Family Adoption Links and combining our expertise to achieve successful adoptions and provide a comprehensive suite of support for our families.

concluded Colin Foster, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Children’s Trust.
