Children waiting…

As one of the youngest children we are family finding for, we asked one of our wonderful foster carers to describe Emily (1). Katie has been looking after her for most of her young life and knows her better than anybody.

little girl in a beautiful dress pulls her hand to the balloons.

“Emily is an adorable and happy little girl who I’ve had the privilege to watch grow. She is so engaging and sociable with the cutest smile which is completely irresistible and just draws you in to want to spend time and play with her.

She’s a very active little girl with such a zest for life and she loves exploring her environment and interacting with adults around her. Emily loves playing outdoors both in the park and at home where she enjoys using her imagination and toys to entertain herself and anyone playing with her.

Emily particularly likes books and is happy to sit and have an adult read to her and point out the colourful pictures. She is also into activities and loves drawing and colouring (my kitchen is filled with her beautiful pictures).

Like all little ones, she loves to spend time watching children’s television programs and is fond of Teletubbies and CBeebies picking out words, rhymes and songs.

Emily is very affectionate and enjoys cuddles, she loves to snuggle in to fall asleep which is just so cute. She’s doesn’t cry without reason and is generally quite easy to distract and or comfort. When she’s not sleepy or seeking cuddles, Emily is a bouncy and confident child, who likes to explore and try new play activities. She walks with gusto and is a keen adventurer! She loves the little routines we have put in place for her, falls asleep pretty easily and sleeps through the night.

Like many children over the past year, Emily hasn’t had the opportunity to interact socially as much as usual and we’re really trying to build these interactions up now. Saying that, we have a pretty busy home and we do lots of activities inside and outside which we’re proud to say has helped Emily reach all of her developmental milestones.

Any parent would be lucky to have Emily and I hope my words will encourage potential adopters to come forward and find out more.”
