Arlo(7)

Arlo is a bright, active, and fun-loving 7-year-old who is full of curiosity and has a big sense of humour.

If you love animals, enjoy walks in the park, riding scooters or bikes, and playing sports, Arlo is ready to join in on the fun! He’s a nature enthusiast who loves being outdoors, exploring, and staying active. Whether he’s kicking around a football, building incredible Lego creations or dressing up as his favourite superhero, Arlo knows how to make everyday moments exciting.

Arlo has a natural ability to connect with new people, and while he may take some time to express his feelings, he loves to entertain and enjoys playing with other children. His favourite foods include pizza and pasta, and he has a special place in his heart for animals. He has lived in homes with cats, dogs, and chickens, always showing kindness and care towards them. Arlo especially adored his pet chicken named Chocolate, whom he loved cuddling and playing with.

What Arlo needs…

Arlo is looking for a loving, supportive family who can help him navigate his big feelings and provide the care and stability he needs. Due to experiencing trauma and loss throughout his life, Arlo is working hard to make sense of his past. This can sometimes lead to emotional dysregulation and behavioural challenges, especially around times like Christmas, which can be particularly difficult for him.

Arlo is currently engaged in play therapy to help express his emotions and process his experiences. He thrives with understanding adults who can offer patience, consistency, and reassurance as he continues his healing journey. A family that can provide emotional support and help him feel safe and loved will make a world of difference in his life.

Arlo at school…

Despite his challenges, Arlo is doing fantastically well in school. With 1:1 support, he produces work close to his age-related standards and shows great academic potential. He has participated in activities like drumming, forest school, and small group sessions, which have helped build his confidence. His teacher describes it as a privilege to get to know Arlo, noting how positively he has engaged with therapeutic work.

Could you be Arlo’s forever family?

Arlo dreams of a family that will love and care for him, support him through his big emotions, and provide a forever home where he feels safe and secure. He needs a family that is just right for him—one that will cherish his playful spirit, celebrate his achievements, and walk alongside him as he continues to grow.

If you believe you could offer Arlo the love, understanding, and support he deserves, we’d love to hear from you. Arlo has so much joy and love to share with the right family—could that be yours?
